Safety recalls for week ending January 6th 2018

  1. Kirkland Signature brand All Butter Croissants  

    This recall was triggered by the company due to the possible presence of plastic. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.   2. PC brand Sweet Chipotle Prepared Mustard

    This recall was triggered by the company due to the possible presence of glass in the product. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings.


  3. Soy Complete brand Plant-Based Protein Shake – Vanilla

    This recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) test due to undeclared milk. The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings.

  4. Expanded Recall: ITW Permatex® Rust Dissolver Gel

    Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and return the product to the original location of purchase or dispose at the nearest Municipal Household Hazardous Waste Depot.   5. HP Inc. Canada Lithium-ion Batteries in Notebook Computers and Mobile Workstations

    Consumers should immediately stop using the affected products and go to the HP Battery Recall website to see if their battery is affected and to order a free replacement battery if needed. For more information and to determine if their product is affected, consumers may visit the HP Battery Recall website.


  6. MTD Products Company SureFit blade spindle shaft and assembly

    Consumers should immediately stop operating their lawn tractor, and return the part to the place of purchase. MTD Products dealers will replace the affected product at no charge to the consumer. For more information, consumers may contact MTD Products Company by telephone at 1-855-971-2299.

  7. Imperial Caviar & Seafood brand Whitefish Roe and VIP Caviar Club brand Salmon Roe

    This recall was triggered by the CFIA inspection activities due to the potential presence of dangerous bacteria. The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings.

  8. Woolino Woolino Footed Pajamas

    Consumers should immediately take the recalled sleepwear away from children and contact Woolino for a refund. For more information, consumers may contact Woolino toll-free at 1-844-882-8080 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, by e-mail or online.

    Consumers should immediately stop using the beer glass and contact Molson Coors Canada for a replacement of similar value. Consumers may contact Molson Coors Canada by telephone toll-free at 1-800-MOLSON1 (1-800-665-7661) between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. EST Monday to Friday.

  11. Various brands of pre-packaged sandwich products

    These products have been recalled due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes. This recall was triggered by CFIA inspection activities. The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings.

  12. PPG Architectural Coatings Canada Inc. recalls Olympic Premium Deck Cleaner and CIL Scrub-Free Deck Cleaner

  13. Consumers should immediately inspect their purchased product to see if the code “7125” appears on the side of the cap. If this code appears, no further action is necessary. If the code “7125” does not appear on the side of the cap, immediately store the product in an upright position and in a location not accessible to children. The caps on some of the deck cleaner containers do not provide a complete seal. Leaking product has been observed from some caps when the container is not maintained in an upright position and/or the cap does not offer sufficient resistance when opening the container impairing child-resistant characteristics. Improperly functioning packaging could result in unintentional exposure to these products and lead to serious illness, injury or death.

    Selection brand Popping Corn recalled due to presence of insects.

  15. Expanded Recall: Northern Souvenirs kids' upper outerwear with drawstrings at the neck/hood

    Consumers should immediately remove the drawstring from the garment to eliminate the hazard. Consumers may contact Northern Souvenirs at (514)385-3366 extension 34 for additional information.
