What's open and closed Dec 31 2017-Jan 1 2018 in Kingston

(Dec 30, 2017 - Kingston, ON) Garbage pickup will not take place on Monday, January 1st and all other pickups will be delayed by one day. Two untagged garbage bags will be permitted. Kingston Transit will provide regular Sunday service on December 31. There will be no transit service on January 1.

Administrative offices, including housing and social services on Montreal Street and Provincial Offences, will be closed January 1.

Utilities Kingston and Kingston Hydro will be closed January 1. In the event of a utility emergency, such as a gas smell, power outage or a water main break, you can call Utilities Kingston/Kingston Hydro's 24-hour number at 613-546-1181. (Hydro One electricity customers in City west and east can call 1-800-434-1235. Union Gas customers can call 1-877-969-0999).

Libraries will be closed from December 31 to January 2.

Artillery Park Aquatic Centre and the Invest Fitness and Wellness Centre will be open until 1:30 p.m. on December 31, and closed  January 1.

Arenas will be open until 4 pm on December 31 and closed on January 1.

The Grand Theatre Box Office will be open noon to 4 pm on December 31, closed on  January 1. Tickets for all shows can be purchased online 24 hours a day at www.kingstongrand.ca.

The Kingston Area Recycling Centre (KARC) will be closed on January 1. 

Malls will be open on December 31 until 5:00pm and closed on January 1.

Most drug stores and grocery stores will be open until 6pm on December 31 and all will be closed January 1.

Beer Store and LCBO outlets close at 6 pm Sunday, and will be closed New Year’s Day.

There will be no mail delivery on Monday.
